Why choose Ross Himlie Photography for my family or child’s portrait?
Family portraits should be fun… You should get good value… Quality is very important… Little details make a big difference… If this is important to you, YOU are important to us!
Children’s Portraits
We like children and know how to make having their portrait taken fun! We allow enough time so your child will feel at ease.  You can change from dress-up to play clothes all in one sitting.
Not only is it friendly at Ross Himlie Photography, it is private.  There won’t be a crowd standing around watching, and you won’t waste time standing in line.  Bring your child’s favorite plaything along.  We have a variety of backgrounds for your selection.  We can even photograph outdoors.  
Then you can preview your order.  You select your favorite, and order the size and number you want...for a portrait you’ll treasure forever.
What shall I wear?
Solids are much better then patterns. Keep in mind to bring shoes and matching socks as your whole outfit may show. Here are a few suggestions on color schemes, but don’t feel limited to just this!

 Assorted shades of blue

 Earth tones of browns, khakis, and greens

 Blacks, grays, and reds

 Denim
●
 Pastels and whites
●
 Black and Khaki
There are many combinations you can make, but this should give you some ideas.

What if I wear glasses?
If you normally wear glasses, wear them for you portrait, but have the lenses removed or obtain a pair of empty frames just like yours. Doing this will save you money on your finished portraits.
Can I have my family portraits outdoors?
YES! We have several locations near the studio that are ideal for family portraits.
How do I place my order?
When you come in to pick up your proofs, we will schedule another appointment within 14 days for you to order your finished portraits. Please check your schedule before picking up your proofs. We collect a $100.00 pre-payment when picking up proofs. (Applied toward order.) A CD is available for extended families if needed.
Have family coming from out of town? Don’t want to schedule another appointment to come back and order?  Take advantage of our new option of ordering the day of your session!  Ordering right away doesn’t work for you?  No problem!  We’ll give you a low resolution, non-printable CD to bring home and view. This CD will be available for pick-up in 3-5 days.  Please place your order within 12-14 days.
